The Rules
Beat The Mob is a race to find a cool prize hidden somewhere in Manhattan. Solve the clues, get there first and the prize is yours. The prize is being held by the Beat The Mob leprechaun.
This is how it works. We will announce an upcoming hunt and the prize. Once the hunt starts we will post clues about the target location every 15 minutes on our twitter feed at twitter.com/beatthemob and on beatthemob.com. The first person to figure out the location and find the leprechaun wins the prize and will have their picture posted in the “mobsters” section.
The hunts will vary from time to time. Unless we announce otherwise, they will be single destination hunts where we will post clues for one location and the prize will be at that location. Other hunts will have multiple locations where you will have to show the leprechaun pictures of you at each location to prove you solved all the locations and made all the stops.
Feel free to hunt along with your buddies, but remember that unless we announce otherwise, there will only be a single prize. The creepy guy in the leprechaun suit has full authority to decide who got to him first and who gets the prize. Like all other leprechauns living in Manhattan, the Beat The Mob leprechaun is all powerful.
Legal Crap: This game is intended for adults 18 years of age or older. The leprechaun and the prize will always be in plain sight and will never be hidden somewhere dangerous. DO NOT do anything stupid to get to the leprechaun. We don’t know you, don’t really want to know you and can’t be responsible for your actions. Like a crossing guard gingerly guiding small children across the street, safety is our top priority (well maybe not our top priority, but definitely a priority). You are solely responsible for your actions and you should never do anything unsafe, risky or reckless in playing Beat The Mob.
